June 27th, 1998

is the day that Kelly and I got married. We had already been together for 8 years prior to that, so we have quite a history! Here are some pictures to make you laugh and to show you how far we've come!

This is the oldest one of us together that I could find. I'm pretty sure it's from freshman year of high school, so we are either 14 or 15 years old. I don't know where we are going, but we look REALLY spiffy!

This one is our junior prom. Aren't the gently cascading tendrils just lovely?? My parents actually paid money for my hair to look like that.

Sophomore year of college, JCPenney photo special. I dried Kelly's hair with a round brush for this one. His hair really is pretty, maybe he should grow it out again. . . .

Our wedding day, one of the hottest days in the history of the world. It was a wonderful, magical day but it was also June 27th in Georgia and we got married outside. Need I say more????

For our 10th anniversary my family graciously watched the girls so we could get away for the night. We stayed at the Four Seasons in Atlanta as we did on our wedding night 10 years ago. We had a wonderful lobster dinner at The Palm and when we returned to our room, we were greeted with this gift from my family. . .

Going out on the town (and attempting to take photos of ourselves)

Happy 10th!

Happy Father's Day!

In honor of my late Father's Day post, I thought I'd do this little quiz all about Kelly.

4. How old is your man? He'll be 32 on Sunday

5. Who eats more? Him by far, he has quite an appetite!

6. Who said “I love you” first? Wow, that was a long time ago. I think he did.

7. Who is taller? He is 6 inches taller than I am

8. Who sings better? Both of us are pretty awful, but we like to sing anyway

9. Who is smarter? He definitely is much smarter than I am (but don't tell him that)

10. Whose temper is worse? Mine for sure :)

11. Who does the laundry? I do most all of it. He will help, but I mostly do it during the day when he's not here.

24. Who asked who out? He was spending the night with a guy that lived next door to me and I had a friend over also, so he and his friend came to visit at my house. The next morning he came over and we jumped on the trampoline (again, we were 14!) Later that day we went to the movies with my family to see "Three men and a little lady"

25. Who proposed? He did, on the beach in Perdido Key.

30. How did you meet? He sat behind me in 9th grade world geography class.

Kelly,
Molly and Sadie are so fortunate to have you as their Daddy. You are a wonderful husband and a loving, dedicated father to our sweet girls. I thank God every day for blessing me with a husband like you. We love you so much!

Hilton Head 2008

We returned on Saturday from a week in Hilton Head with my family. We enjoyed our time together and the girls experienced several "firsts". They played miniature golf for the first time, which they thought was a blast. Sadie made the game very easy for everyone as she would give you one chance to hit the ball and then she picked it up and dropped it in the hole for you. I myself, not being a terribly patient person, thought this was a wonderful technique. It certainly helped move the game along. We rented a boat on Wednesday and the girls had their first boat ride. We did a little bit of fishing but didn't catch anything. Molly ate raw oysters for the first time with her Daddy (with horseradish and tabasco sauce) and loved them!

Here are a few of the hundreds of pictures I took.

Two teeth require two toothbrushes. . . .

Look at all this cuteness. . .

What? Do I not need a toothbrush for each tooth?

Reagan is spending the night with us tonight and the girls thought she needed to brush her teeth with them!
